PUBLIC HEALTH IS ALWAYS FIRST FOR KUSADASI MUNICIPALITY.
Date: 17 / Şubat / 2025

In the multi-story Covered Marketplace located in the Hacıfeyzullah Neighborhood of Kuşadası, a vegetable and fruit market is set up on Tuesdays and Fridays, and a textile market is set up on Wednesdays. The Covered Marketplace, whose stalls are decorated with hundreds of types of agricultural products as well as colorful clothes and dresses, is highly popular with city residents, local and foreign tourists. The Covered Marketplace, where shopping traffic begins with the stalls set up by the market vendors in the early hours of the morning, hosts tens of thousands of people until closing time.

After the market vendors, happy to have had a fruitful day, clear their stalls, the intensive work of the Kuşadası Municipality Cleaning Services Directorate begins in the Covered Marketplace. The Cleaning Services Directorate, which arrives at the Covered Marketplace with a special team, first collects the remaining fruit, vegetables and other waste in the area. Then, each floor is carefully swept, washed with hot water and disinfected. In the intensive work that lasted until late at night, the Covered Marketplace is being made ready again so that Kuşadası residents can shop in a healthy and hygienic environment.

“WE ARE WORKING NON-STOP FOR THE CLEANLINESS OF OUR CITY”

Kuşadası Municipality Cleaning Services Director Hakan Bayrak stated that they attach great importance to the establishment of the Covered Marketplace and neighborhood markets in other parts of the city in a hygienic environment and said, “Our teams start working immediately after the markets end and carry out meticulous cleaning work. During the work, we urgently dispose of the waste we collect so that it does not harm the environment. Because the waste formed around the market areas can pose risks to public health. Our teams clean the market places and make the environment healthy and hygienic for both our fellow citizens and tradesmen. As Kuşadası Municipality Cleaning Services Directorate, we work non-stop for our city on a 24/7 basis.”
